[edit]The only reason this show is not back in front of a studio audience? GREED. REM486 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rem486 (talk • contribs) 15:29, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
I would like to know why there us NO sicial distancing on the new episodes of this show!!— Preceding unsigned comment added by LilyMarlaina (talk • contribs) 17 April 2020 (UTC)
First, how is someone dating these episodes to know that there are post-covid episodes? Second, there are some episodes that have four rounds, preceded by a chance to pick the contestant/celebrity who will play the round. Does anyone know anything about these episodes? rem486 Rem486 (talk) 14:16, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Show changes since moving to GSN
[edit]25 words has gone through a bunch of changes. It went from 2 celebrities and 1 contestant to 2 contestants and 1 celebrity wh when it was still syndicated. That was during the pandemic so everyone was is a Covid-safe box. Last February, my daughter and I auditioned and were told we made the cut but never heard from them. Then I heard it would be airing on GSN. Now, it's back to in-person with Meredith Viera, 2 celebrities and 1 contestant. Is the show still taped in Southern California or did it move to New York to accommodate Meredith? 2600:8801:E80D:4C00:C13F:116A:D65D:25F (talk) 20:13, 26 May 2022 (UTC)

– The game show has been on TV for six years now and has substantially more page views and inbound links than the board game it's based on. Extensive searching on Google, GBooks, GNews, etc. turned up almost exclusively information about the game show. The board game's article is a one-paragraph stub, while there is far more to say about the game show. This seems a prime example of an adaptation being more notable than its source material, in the same vein that The Fox and the Hound is widely understood to reference the Disney film above the book on which it was based. I think it's abundantly clear that almost everyone looking for something called "25 Words or Less" is looking for the game show. - Oppose This seems to be WP:WRONGFORUM as it's essentially asking a move discussion to pass judgement on whether the board game is notable. Send the board game to AfD. If they decide it's non-notable, this discussion will be totally moot. If they decide it IS notable, you will have to explain why it should be moved in further detail than just "it's not notable". ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 09:38, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- P.S. Re: The pageviews being higher, that is true but it's unclear if the views of the board game would be higher if it were made into a decently sourced article. Hence the AfD being a better deciding factor of whether the article should stay where it is. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 09:42, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Zxcvbnm: I think you misunderstood me. I am not making judgment calls either way on whether the board game should have an article at all, as that would very likely be misconstrued as me trying to circumvent my topic ban from XFD. I just think that between the two of them, the game show is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and should get priority over the board game when it comes to article naming. – Page views, inbound links, and Google hits suggest that far more people know "25 Words or Less" as a game show than a board game. Because of this, I think the primary topic of "25 Words or Less" should be switched to the game show, with the board game instead having the disambiguation. The only participant in the last RM seemed to misconstrue what was being asked for, and no one else participated after two relists, so I am trying this again with hopefully a clearer rationale.

- Support Gonna be honest, I personally didn't know there was a board game until the game show came along. Seven years into it, I don't think this would be a controversial move. --Bcschneider53 (talk) 01:10, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
