Nick Heidfeld's DNF lap

This is a very weird situation. I rewatched the replay and highlights and Heidfeld's incident was on lap 25, according to the broadcasts. However, various sources (, , ) say that he retired on lap 23. I'm not sure if there is a precedent regarding this, and I'll bring it to WP:F1 for further advice if needed. - When Heidfeld's car expired, the leader (Hamilton) was on lap 25. Heidfeld was two laps down. He was lapped once as he pitted on lap 23 (being 1:25.558 behind at the end of lap 22), and lapped again while he retired. So he had only covered 23 laps. Bretonbanquet (talk) 20:22, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
