Recommend article name change

[edit]

This article should be moved from "The 1000 Genomes Project" to "1000 Genomes Project" because the word "The" is not part of the project name and "The" should be avoided for the first word of article and section names. --Wet dog fur (talk) 18:14, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Not sure how to change without messing up the 6 times it's referenced  Preceding unsigned comment added by Tetris11 (talkcontribs) 17:49, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Addition of Data Access section

[edit]

I would like to add a section to this page detailing how one can access (browse or download) the project data via the 1000 genomes webpage (http://www.1000genomes.org/). Although I am not directly involved in the upkeep of this page it is hosted and maintained at the European Bioinformatics Institute, where I work. Are there any comments to this proposal?

2/15 IP edit

[edit]

The edit summary does not seem to match the edit. I don't see anything wrong in the edit but just raising on talk in case something subtle was changed. Slywriter (talk) 03:57, 16 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Human Genome Diversity Project relation?

[edit]

Is there any? ...I mean relation to the human genome diversity project? They seem so similar in scope, so perhaps should be mentioned whether there is or is not Yinwang888 (talk) 23:41, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Completed or not?

[edit]

"In 2015, two papers in Nature reported results and the completion of the project and opportunities for future research." This says the project was completed over ten years ago. However, the entire Human Genome Samples section is written in the future tense, implying that the project hasn't even been started yet. Which is it? ~2026-85702-4 (talk) 23:44, 18 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
