[edit]There are a number of facts that are the equivalent to '10' is the same as '10'.
- 10 is the lowest two digit number in base 10. Well of course it is just as 2 is the lowest 2 digit number in binary and 8 is the lowest two digit number in octal. It's part of the definition of a number base.
- The basic calculation section is simply reiterating that we use numbers base ten. and . Similarly (n zeroes).
- The indexed sequence of triangle numbers is just a statement that our numbers are written using base ten. In octal and hex

- Age ten is a preteen and a denarian. This is from the definition of these words
