Sheehan (also spelt Sheahan and Sheahen) is the Anglicisation of the Irish Gaelic surname Ó Síodhacháin, meaning the peaceful one. It is most common in counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick. It is the 77th most common surname in Ireland.[1]
