Samrat Das (Nepali: सम्राट दास, born August 19, 1998)[1] is a Nepalese actor and model active in the Nepali cinema and music video industry.[2] He is recognized for his performances in local music videos and his transition into major Nepali feature film productions focused on regional themes.[1]
Career

[edit]Das initially built a profile within the Nepalese entertainment media by appearing in short-form musical films. He gained initial industry recognition for his roles in the popular tracks Rang Kada (co-starring Garima Sharma)[3][4] and Aadat (co-starring Gita Dhungana and Sarita Dhungana).[5] He also made a cameo appearance in the musical film Afnai Swartha.[6][7]
Film debut
[edit]In May 2025, Das was cast in the lead role for the action feature film Pratibairam . Produced under the banner of Rays Entertainment in collaboration with Kings YT Studio and Shreeyan Entertainment, the project marked his transition from musical shorts to mainstream cinema.[8][9]
The film directed by Roshan Das, was set entirely within the Madhesh region and highlighted local socio-political issues and challenges. Das portrayed a young man fighting crime and injustice to protect his family and the Madhesh territory.[10] He shared screen space in the project with actor Ramesh Budhathoki, alongside Alisha Baskota, Birendra Kushwaha, and Supragya Sharma.[11][12]
