Ryan Wesley Ogam Rabok (born 21 December 2004) is a Kenyan professional footballer who plays for Belgian Division 2 club RFC Liège on loan from Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC and the Kenya national team.[2]
Club career
[edit]Early career
[edit]Born in Nairobi, Ogam attended Unity Primary, Kakamega High School (2019–2021), and Dagoretti High School (2022), where he competed in school football. He played initially as a left-back for local youth sides including Galaxy FC, Sunrise FC, and UEFA Despanol. He also featured in international youth competitions such as the Norway Cup (2017) and a tournament in Italy (2018).[3]
He began his senior career with Rainbow FC in 2022 in the National Super League, scoring five goals for the club before moving to Elite Falcons (UAE) in 2023 for eight months. He returned to Rainbow at the end of the 2023–24 season,[4] scoring two goals in the final two matches of the season;[2] in April 2024 he played against both SS Assad and Gusii FC.
He then moved to Tusker in the Kenyan top flight in 2024, scoring 15 goals in 17 games.[2][5]
Wolfsberger AC
[edit]Ogam joined Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC on 1 September 2025.[6] He made his debut as a second-half substitute during the 3–1 victory against Grazer AK on 4 October 2025.[7] He made his first start for the club in the Austrian Cup round of 16 against SKU Amstetten on 29 October 2025.[8]
Wolfsberger AC II (loan)
[edit]He was loaned out to Austrian Regionalliga Central club Wolfsberger AC II in November 2025 and debuted during the 3–1 loss against ASK Voitsberg on 9 November 2025. He scored two goals during the 3–0 victory against USV St. Anna am Aigen on 28 February 2026.[9]
RFC Liège (loan)
[edit]On 11 July 2026, Ogam joined Belgian Division 2 club RFC Liège on a season-long loan deal.[8][10]
International career
[edit]Youth
[edit]In December 2020, Ogam was named in Kenya's under-17 squad for the CECAFA qualification tournament in Rwanda, where he was listed as a defender.[11]
He also represented the Kenya under-20 team at the 2024 Under-20 Four Nations Tournament in Malawi, which was staged alongside a separate senior Four Nations tournament.[12] He appeared as a substitute in Kenya's 3–1 victories over Zimbabwe under-20 and in their 3–1 defeat to Malawi under-20.[13][14]
Senior
[edit]He was called up to the senior Kenya national team in January 2025 for the inaugural Mapinduzi Cup.[15] He scored on his debut for Kenya during the competition on 7 January 2025 during the 2–0 victory against Tanzania.[16]
He scored two goals during the 2024 African Nations Championship to hand Kenya identical group stage 1–0 victories over eventual champions Morocco,[17] and Zambia,[18] leading Kenya to the quarter-final stage for the first time in their history.[2]
He scored three more goals during 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification, including during the 3–1 loss against the Gambia on 5 September 2025,[19] and a brace during the 5–0 victory against the Seychelles.[20]
