Career
[edit]Early career and Smithsonian Institution
[edit]Before entering financial publishing, Michalski gained experience in the publishing industry through a role at the Smithsonian Institution, where he worked in the catalog division of Smithsonian Business Ventures. This position contributed to a foundation in media production, product development, and catalog publishing that he would later apply to the financial newsletter industry.
Eagle Financial Publications
[edit]Michalski joined Eagle Financial Publications and established the company's financial publishing division in 2003.[1] He has served as its vice president and Group Publisher, overseeing a roster of investment analysts and newsletter editors whose combined market experience spans over 135 years.[2]
Eagle Financial Publications was founded in 1993 as part of Eagle Publishing, Inc., and is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. In January 2014, Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: SALM) announced the acquisition of Eagle Publishing's assets, bringing Eagle Financial Publications under Salem's umbrella of conservative media properties.[3] The acquisition was also confirmed in an SEC press release filed the same day.[4]
Eagle Financial Publications serves more than 230,000 subscribers across its newsletters and trading services.[5] Under Michalski's leadership, Eagle has grown into one of the leading financial newsletter publishers in the United States, offering both monthly investment newsletters and faster-paced weekly trading services.
The analysts and newsletter editors published under Eagle's umbrella include Mark Skousen, George Gilder, Bryan Perry, Jim Woods, Bob Carlson, Jon Johnson, David Phillips, Jim Fink, and Hugh Grossman, among others. Eagle also operates several financial websites, including DividendInvestor.com, StockInvestor.com, and SeniorResource.com.

- The MoneyShow – a prominent U.S. investment conference series
- FreedomFest – an annual libertarian-leaning ideas and investing conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada[6]
- Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) – an industry body representing newsletter and niche content publishers
At these events, Michalski has moderated panels featuring Eagle's investment analysts, covering topics such as market outlooks, portfolio strategy, and wealth-building approaches for individual investors.
