Qom County (Persian: شهرستان قم) is in Qom province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Qom.[2]

History

The village of Salafchegan was converted to a city in 2008.[3]

In 2021, Jafarabad District[a] and Qahan Rural District were separated from the county in the establishment of Jafarabad County. At the same time, Kahak District[b] was separated in establishing Kahak County.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 1,036,714, in 262,313 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,151,672 people in 320,977 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 1,292,283 in 383,532 households.[1]
