Press Play is the upcoming first extended play by Thai rapper and singer Lisa. It is scheduled to be released on October 23, 2026 by Lloud and RCA Records.
Background and release
[edit]In August 2026, red billboards with the text "Hello สวัสดีค่ะ"[a] appeared in major cities worldwide, including Bangkok, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City. A website featuring "Hello" in multiple languages launched featuring a countdown to August 24.[1] At the end of the countdown, Lisa announced her debut extended play Press Play and its release date of October 23, as well as the lead single "Sawadika".[2] She also revealed the EP's cover art, in which the rapper looks at the camera in a chic dress with her long hair fluttering in the air.[3]
Composition and lyrics
[edit]Consisting of six tracks, Press Play was described as Lisa "at her most personal."[4] The EP reflects on Lisa's personal journey and rise to global fame, while honoring her Thai roots and where her career began.[5] On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Lisa shared that the EP incorporates many Thai elements and that each song features a unique character, stating "Its like a movie. So you just press play."[6]
