Pietro Calogero (28 December 1939 – 6 April 2026) was an Italian magistrate.[1]

Life and career

A graduate of the University of Messina,[2] he was responsible for the arrest of numerous militants of the Autonomia Operaia movement, such as Antonio Negri, Oreste Scalzone, and Franco Piperno.[3] From 2009 to 2015, he was president of the Corte d'appello di Venezia [it].[4]

Calogero died in Padua on 6 April 2026, at the age of 86.[5]
