Picenze is a frazione of Barisciano, in the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy, which includes the locality of San Martino, Villa di Mezzo and Petogna.

[edit]The territory of Picenze was affected by the 2009 L'Aquila earthquake, Richter magnitude (ML) 5.9, occurred at a depth of about 10 km. There were no effects on people, but the architectural heritage has been severely compromised, with injuries and slumps.
