Patrick Wimmer (born 30 May 2001) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a right winger for German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim and the Austria national team.[2]
Club career
[edit]On 13 April 2022, Wimmer signed a five-year contract with VfL Wolfsburg, beginning with the 2022–23 season.[3]
On 3 June 2026, Wimmer moved to TSG Hoffenheim, remaining in Bundesliga after Wolfsburg's relegation.[4]
International career
[edit]Wimmer was called up to the senior Austria squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia, Denmark, France and Denmark on 3, 6, 10 and 13 June 2022.[5]
On 18 May 2026, Wimmer was selected in Ralf Rangnick’s 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking Austria’s first appearance in the tournament since 1998.[6]
