Paipra is a grama panchayat in Muvattupuzha taluk of Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala.[1] The Ernakulam district administration lists Paipra among the panchayats in Muvattupuzha taluk.[2] The panchayat includes the villages of Mulavoor and Velloorkunnam.[1]
Geography and administration
[edit]Paipra Grama Panchayat covers 32.18 km2 (12.42 sq mi) and is divided into 24 wards.[1] It is in the Idukki Lok Sabha constituency and the Muvattupuzha Assembly constituency.[1] According to the panchayat's history page, it was formed on 15 August 1953 with six wards.[3]
Demographics
[edit]According to the 2011 census, Paipra Grama Panchayat had a population of 42,682 in 9,999 households; 21,348 residents were male and 21,334 were female.[4]
