Obsesiones (English: Obsessions) is the twelfth studio album by Mexican pop singer Yuri. It was released in August 1992 through Sony Music Latino under the Columbia Records imprint.[1] The album was produced by Spanish producer Mariano Pérez and marked a continuation of the singer's crossover commercial success, generating notable singles such as "Decir adiós" (a Spanish adaptation of "As Time Goes By") and the salsa-infused duet "Química perfecta" featuring Nicaraguan vocalist Luis Enrique.[2][3] Following its distribution, the project was certified Platinum in Mexico by AMPROFON for shipping over 260,000 units.[4] Mexican entertainment publication ERES recognized the release by selecting it as one of the top ten most influential Spanish-language albums of 1992.[4] In 2009, Mexican singer Mijares recorded a cover version of the album track "Como te amé" (originally a Spanish-language rendition of Dionne Warwick's "I'll Never Love This Way Again") for his platinum-certified studio album Vivir Así.[5]
