Nolan Allaer (born March 5, 2002) is an American racing driver who is currently competing in Indy NXT driving the No. 76 Faygo Beverages Juncos Hollinger Racing car.[1]
Career
[edit]
Allaer started racing at age six, and in 2008, was competing in the Florida Karting Championship Series.[2] His first race in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs garnered him a third place finish in the Formula Continental class.[3] The following year at the SCCA Runoffs, he won the Formula Continental class over Simon Sikes, current USF2000 Championship, and finished third in Formula F.[4][5] Allaer joined Team Pelfrey in 2022 to compete in the F1600 Championship Series earning two wins and nine podiums.[3]
In 2023, Allaer returned to the SCCA Runoffs and won the Formula Continental for the second time, with his father, Robert finishing second.[6] Additionally that weekend at the Runoffs, he won the Formula F championship winning with a Ford for the first time since 2011.[7]
In 2024, it was announced that Allaer would be moving up to the Indy NXT series.[8] He would end up 19th in the Drivers' Championship, missing Iowa, WWTR, Portland and Milwaukee.

Allar would stay with HMD Motorsports for his second Indy NXT campaign, driving full-time and only missing the Milwaukee race. He placed three places higher in the points in 16th.
At the start of 2026, Allaer would race in the Formula Regional Oceania Trophy with Giles Motorsport.[9]
After no full-time campaign in 2026, Allar would join Indy NXT half way through the season, sharing the No. 76 Juncos Hollinger Racing car with Ricardo Escotto for the last seven rounds, who would do a partial FIA Formula 3 campaign. He would be backed by Faygo Beverages.[10]
Personal life
[edit]Allaer attends Miami University. His father, Robert, is a two-time SCCA National Championship Runoffs champion in the Formula Continental and his uncle, J. Lewis Cooper III, is a former SCCA National champion in Formula F.[2] Allaer currently lives in Downtown Detroit, being the only known race car driver to live in Detroit City Limits.
