From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nevo (formerly marketed in China as Qiyuan; Chinese: 长安启源; pinyin: Cháng'ān Qǐyuán) is a Chinese automobile marque owned by Changan Automobile. Introduced in 2023, the brand focuses on new energy vehicles (NEVs), including battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and range-extended electric vehicles (EREVs). Nevo forms part of Changan's portfolio of electrified vehicle brands alongside Deepal and Avatr Technology.

The brand was initially launched in the Chinese market under the name Qiyuan. For international markets, Changan adopted the English-language marque name Nevo, which is used on export models and in the company's global marketing.

History

[edit]

Nevo was unveiled by Changan Automobile in 2023 as one of the company's core new energy vehicle brands. The marque was created as part of Changan's transition toward vehicle electrification and intelligent mobility, offering a range of sedans, SUVs, and crossover utility vehicles based on Changan's latest electrified vehicle platforms.

The first production model introduced under the brand was the Changan Nevo A05, followed by the larger Changan Nevo A07 liftback and the Changan Nevo Q05 compact SUV. Subsequent model launches expanded the lineup with the Changan Nevo A06, Changan Nevo Q06, Changan Nevo Q07, and the Changan Nevo E07, a lifestyle pickup-SUV crossover.

Outside China, the brand is marketed as Nevo, while many early Chinese-market vehicles continued to use the Qiyuan branding.
