NALCN channel auxiliary factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NALF1 gene (previously FAM155A).^[5] The NALF1 protein is a subunit of the NALCN channelosome complex, which is a voltage-gated ion channel that regulates the resting potential of cell membranes, which controls neuronal excitability.^[6]
