Mykel Hawke (born November 29, 1965) is an American author, television personality, and retired U.S. Army Special Forces officer, best known for creating and starring in survival television series such as Man, Woman, Wild.[1][2][3]
Biography
[edit]Hawke earned a bachelor of Science in biology from the University of the State of New York and a Master of Science in family counseling from the University of California.[4][5] In 2005, Hawke married English television presenter Ruth England. The couple has a son and resides in Miami, Florida.[citation needed] He established a combat medic school in Azerbaijan.[6]
Military service
[edit]Hawke entered the United States Army in 1982, serving 12 years on active duty and 12 years in the Reserve and Army National Guard.[7][8] He retired as a Captain[9] in 2011 from the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.[10][11]
