Map changed
[edit]The map formerly used for this template was not of the equirectangular projection type required. For that reason, towns far from the center did not appear in the right place. I've included a new equirectangular map. --Jotamar (talk) 03:54, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Would it be worth changing the map from Spain_location_map.svg to Spain_location_map_with_provinces.svg? The existing map is of very little use in locating a town, especially in Andalucia, Castilla-Leon and Castilla-La Mancha, which are huge and blank. 2dk (talk) 16:11, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
Incomplete map of Spain

@Plastikspork I've noticed a significant problem with this module: the map of Spain is currently incomplete, showing only 16 of the country's 17 autonomous regions. For reasons unknown, someone has included a map that omits the Canary Islands, home to over 2 million people, who have the same laws, rights, and obligations as the rest of Spain. I request that the map be replaced with the one attached to this message, as other Wikipedias, such as the German one, have done. It's unjustifiable to maintain a map supposedly representing Spain that doesn't include all of the country. Lopezsuarez (talk) 15:34, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
- Lopezsuarez, okay, seems to match the relief map, so I guess that works. Although, it won't work to provide coordinates for the inset map without some extra coding. Thanks! 20:23, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
