Unnecessary whitespace?

Throwing this out there... this template consistently seems to bring unnecessary whitespace with it. For instance, Battersea Power Station tube station - why is it so far down? Is there a hidden "Clear" template that puts it so far down the page? Is this something that can be fixed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattdaviesfsic (talk • contribs)

I think it replicates the default from s-start (used with s-rail), and the convention with those templates was either to place them in the infobox or at the bottom of the article. I think the mid-article usage is mostly found in the UK. As you say, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It had to be one or the other :). Mackensen (talk) 21:59, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

Edit request 31 May 2026

Hoping this is the right place for this (as it was a redirect for the talk page of Template:Rail color box) but requesting that the text colour for the Queensland Rail RCB templates for Caboolture, Ipswich and Rosewood (Ipswich), and Sunshine Coast are changed from black to white to make them readable (for an example of this, see the "lines" heading in the Eagle Junction railway station infobox).

Additionally (if this is possible and relevant to the same template), the name of Ipswich and Rosewood should be changed to "Ipswich/Rosewood" to match the page name and official name (see Rosewood railway station for an example of this) – I tried to find how to fix these myself but I believe both changes fall under template-protected status.

GCLR link not working

When using Template:RCB and croute within infoboxes for Module:Adjacent stations/GCLR, "G:link" does not link (which you can see on the Helensvale railway station infobox), below "Gold Coast" (which does link with a different module). I suspect the colon in the line name causes problems with the part of the code that generates a box (function p._box). It's unusual for a special character to be part of a line name; might be the only such example worldwide. Mackensen (talk) 13:59, 26 July 2026 (UTC)

I would love to if I had the first idea what on earth I was looking at (at least the S-rail template wasn't this complicated - what a backwards move).

In the visual editor, you can select some of the parameters but the "noclear=" parameter has to be typed in which just takes too long - I'm not even sure why it is there given the stupid amount of whitespace it can create anyway.
