Module:ATP rankings/data/overrides.json/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This JSON page is for overrides to the links created by Module:ATP rankings. Since the module gets input from a PDF that does not always match Wikipedia's naming conventions, there are some cases where the name in the module does not match the Wikipedia article title. There are three main categories of exception that this module deals with:

IssueExamplesCode to add
Player does not have an articleAaron Cohen
Nikola Basic
"article": "x"
Player name is spelled different or has diacriticsTsung-Hao Huang / Huang Tsung-hao
Emilio Gomez / Emilio Gómez (tennis)
"article": "article name"
Player country is not listed on the ATP ranking documentation[a] Alexander Zgirovsky"country": "country code"

Both "article" and "country" can be used for the same player (for example, if they are from RUS but do not have an article) if required.

Notes

[edit]
  1. ↑ This really only applies to Russia (RUS) and Belarus (BLR) since players from these countries currently play as independent athletes. However, since the module cannot "read" these entries without the country code being added here, if a new player not on this page shows up in the official released rankings, they will not show up in the navbox when it is created until they are listed here.
