Michael Lloyd Piel (born September 21, 1965) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end for four seasons for the Los Angeles Rams. He was selected by the Rams in the third round of the 1988 NFL draft with the 82nd overall pick.[1] He played college football at the University of Illinois, Urbana. Piel suffered shoulder problems during much of his professional career.[2]
