Mike Peltola (born 10 September 1974) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a defender, mainly operating as a left back.
Career
[edit]Peltola retired after the 2006 Ykkönen season with AC Oulu, in which he captained the club to win the promotion to Veikkausliiga.[1] In total, Peltola made 167 appearances in Veikkausliiga for FC Oulu, VPS and HJK Helsinki.[2][3] He also played in the Swedish second-tier for Kalmar FF and in the Norwegian top-tier for Bodø/Glimt.[4] In the 2003 Veikkausliiga season with HJK, they won the Finnish championship title and the Finnish Cup title.
During his playing career, Peltola studied in a business school, and has later worked in the finance sector for Handelsbanken and S-Bank.[5][6]
He has also coached in the HJK youth sector.[7]
Personal life
[edit]His two sons are also footballers. Asla is a professional player in Finland[8] and Miska plays at an amateur level.[9][10]
