Change hyphen to a colon

[edit]

Could we please change the hyphen (which is there in lieu of a real dash) to a colon? – Kaihsu (talk) 13:35, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

No, because it might not display correctly depending on the font selected for the window manager. — Dispenser 14:58, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
An en-dash (–) might not display correctly, but a colon (:) should be all right, no? – Kaihsu (talk) 19:19, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
You're right, I misread it. Although a colon would mismatch with MediaWiki:Tagline. — Dispenser 17:33, 11 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Creation request

[edit]

The hyphen in the page title should be an en dash instead. Requested page contents:

En-dash discussion

For the record: proposal to replace hyphen with an en-dash in MediaWiki:Pagetitle had been closed with result "no consensus". —andrybak (talk) 14:17, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
