The Lisec clashes (Macedonian: Лисец судири, Albanian: Lisec përplasje) was a military confrontation between the Macedonian security forces and Albanian insurgents belonging to the National Liberation Army (NLA), which at the time, was launching a campaign of guerrilla attacks against facilities of the Macedonian Government and the Macedonian Armed Forces. However the Macedonian forces claim victory over the NLA insurgency but a few days later the sounds of battle reflected the insurgents and later clashes followed tentative gains made by the army in clashes with insurgents in northern villages[4]
