Li Xiuling (born December 1962, Chinese: 李秀领) is a political figure in the People's Republic of China. He hails from Tongshan, Jiangsu Province.
Career
[edit]Li obtained his undergraduate degree in history at Nanjing University, specializing in the field, and subsequently earned a postgraduate degree in the history of world regional studies, followed by a PhD in history at Nanjing University.[1] He became a member of the Chinese Communist Party in February 1984.[2]
In May 2003, he was designated Deputy Secretary General of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and concurrently assumed the role of Director of the Policy Research Office in December 2003. In May 2007, he was named secretary of the CCP Wanning Municipal Committee.[2]
In February 2011, he was designated as vice governor of the Hainan Provincial People's Government. In March 2012, he was assigned to the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CCP and served as the Minister of its Organization Department.[3][4]
In October 2016, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the CCP. On February 24, 2018, he was elected as a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress. In January 2019, he was designated as the secretary of the party group of the CPPCC in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. On January 29 of that year, he was chosen head of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region CPPCC.[5]
In January 2023, he was appointed as Party Secretary and Director of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress. [6]
