Lectionary 195, designated by siglum ℓ 195 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Palaeographically it has been assigned to the 11th century.[1][2] Scrivener labelled it by 203evl.[3]
Description
[edit]The codex contains lessons from the Gospels of John, Matthew, Luke lectionary (Evangelistarium), on 483 parchment leaves (40.5 cm by 28.5 cm).[1][2][3][4] It is written in Greek uncial letters, in two columns per page, 14 lines per page.[1][2][4] It is very splendid, with gilt initial letters. It contains musical notes.[3]
History
[edit]Scrivener and Gregory dated the manuscript to the 10th century.[3][4] Today it is dated by the INTF to the 11th century.[1][2]
It was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scrivener (number 203). Gregory saw it in 1883.[4]
The manuscript is not cited in the critical editions of the Greek New Testament (UBS3).[5]
Currently the codex is located in the Bodleian Library (Canonici Gr. 92) at Oxford.[1][2]
