Leah Kateb (born August 11, 1999) is an American reality television personality.[1] She appeared on the Peacock reality show Love Island USA in 2024, finishing as a runner-up.
Early life
[edit]Leah Kateb was born on August 11, 1999, in Los Angeles, California. She has Iranian roots from her parents, Afshin and Mina, who are Iranian immigrants. She has a sister named Daria.[2]
Career
[edit]In 2024, she was cast on season 6 of Love Island USA.[3] Kateb was initially coupled up with Rob Rausch and Connor Newsum before coupling up with Miguel Harichi on day 15. Kateb and Harichi went on to become the runner-ups on day 32.[4] Her early relationship with Rausch on the show led to large followings as fans quickly became obsessed with their coupling and how she handled herself throughout it.[2][5] She also had many of her one-liners go viral on TikTok,[6] which also contributed to her large followings, and a spike in viewers.[7] Kateb's friendship with fellow islanders Serena Page and JaNa Craig also went viral as viewers fell in love with their friendship, known as PPG.[8] Fans have called for the three of them to get their own show after watching their friendship develop over the season and after filming.[9] She has since received multiple endorsements after appearing on the show.[10] Following the conclusion of the season, she signed with United Talent Agency.[11]
Following the success of her season of Love Island, it was announced in 2025 that she would appear in Peacock's spinoff series Love Island: Beyond the Villa.[12][13]
In 2025, she became the official Re-founder and Chief Creative Officer of the fragrance company Skylar.[14] Since then, she has released three fragrances with the company.[15][16]
Kateb teamed up with Second Chance Rescue to highlight the importance of adoption and animal advocacy during Clear the Shelters Month in New York City.[17][18] She helped with pulling animals from high-kill shelters and in high-need areas across the county, while also supporting pet owners through community programs that raise funds to keep animals in homes when finances are a barrier. She shared that she's had a special connection to animals her whole life, with her rescuing and fostering for years.[17] In 2026, she teamed up with PETA to urge everyone to dump breeders and adopt. Through the campaign, she was partnered up with her dog, Blue, whom she started fostering when she was six weeks old before adopting her. During the campaign, she shared how she has fostered hundreds of dogs.[19]
Personal life
[edit]Kateb is in a relationship with Miguel Harichi after meeting on the sixth season of Love Island USA. Harichi is in the process of moving to the United States from the United Kingdom, and lives with Kateb while in the U.S.[20] The two appeared in music video of "When I'm with You" by Lisa.[21]
She lives on a farm with dozens of animals that she frequently shares on her social media accounts.[22]
