Isaac Ayomide Olayiwola, professionally known as Layi Wasabi, is a Nigerian comedian, actor and digital content creator known for his satirical courtroom skits and deadpan delivery.[1][2]
He studied law at Bowen University, where he began creating comedy content before gaining national recognition through social media.[3]
In 2024, Layi Wasabi won the Best Digital Content Creator award at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).[4]
Career
[edit]Layi Wasabi rose to prominence for comedy sketches portraying fictional lawyers and courtroom proceedings, a style inspired by his legal education.[5]
He subsequently transitioned into Nollywood, appearing in films including Adire (2023), Aníkúlápó: Rise of the Spectre (2024), Everybody Loves Jenifa (2024) and After 30 (2025).[6][7]
