Laurence Sydney Birks (7 January 1928 – 10 July 2021) was an Australian boxer. He competed in the men's featherweight event at the 1948 Summer Olympics.[1]

Birks married Elaine Rose Parry, a member of the Queensland cricket team, in Bundaberg on 21 October 1950.[2]

Birks died in Gold Coast, Queensland on 10 July 2021, at the age of 93.[3]
