Lac-Cabasta (French pronunciation: [lak kabasta]) is an unorganized territory in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Matawinie Regional County Municipality. It is named after Lake Cabasta, located within the territory, on the Cabasta River, a tributary of the Saint-Maurice River. "Cabasta" is a shortened form of the Atikamekw word Kabastagamac, meaning "dry lake".[4]
