Keldric Luster (born February 18, 2005)[1] is an American football quarterback for the Ball State Cardinals. He previously played for the SMU Mustangs and Texas State Bobcats.
Early life
[edit]Luster attended McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas, and committed to play college football for the SMU Mustangs over offers from Army, Indiana, and Navy.[2]
College career
[edit]In two seasons at SMU from 2023 to 2024, Luster appeared in seven games, taking a redshirt in 2023.[3][4] After the 2024 season, he entered the NCAA transfer portal.[5]
Luster transferred to play for the Texas State Bobcats and appeared in two games in 2025. After the season, Luster once again entered the NCAA transfer portal.[6]
Luster transferred to play for the Ball State Cardinals.[7] Heading into the 2026 season, he was named the Cardinals' starting quarterback.[8]
