Joshua Michael Melnick (born July 10, 1995) is a professional ice hockey player who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He also played 300 games in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Playing career
[edit]Raised in the Annandale of Clinton Township, New Jersey, Melnick played prep hockey at Delbarton School.[1]
Melnick served as both an alternate captain and captain during his time with Miami University.[2]
Melnick signed his first NHL contract with the Dallas Stars organization on March 19, 2019.[3]
He remained on Dallas's affiliate team, the Texas Stars for four seasons until signing an AHL contract with the Chicago Wolves.
