Into The Deep (stylized in all caps) is the FIRST Tech Challenge game for the 2024–2025 season. FIRST reported more than 853,000 students impacted across its programs, more than 5,400 official FIRST events in 114 countries, and more than 493,000 volunteer, mentor, and educator roles contributing more than 39 million hours.[2]
Overview
[edit]In this season, two competing alliances, red and blue, compete to earn as many points as possible. To do so, the game offers samples, small rectangular-prism-shaped scoring elements that can be scored in net zones or baskets. Alliance-specific samples can be combined with clips to create specimens, which can then be scored on the chamber of the submersible, the central structure of the field.[3][4][5][6]
Points system
[edit]During a match, alliances earn points by completing various scoring actions. The alliance's final score is used to determine the match result, while ranking points earned from wins and ties affect the competition standings.[3]
