Ingenia is a genus of marine nematode worms.[1][2][3] It belongs to the Tripyloididae, which is a group that are mostly free-living[4] and which feed on diatoms and other algaes.[2] It contains three known species:[5] I. mirabilis,[6] the type species native to Brazil; Ingenia communis, found in the Mekong Delta;[7] and Ingenia major found in the Yellow Sea.[8]
