Idelfonso Marcial Rivera Alcayaga (1871 – June 1916) was a Chilean politician and physician who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile.
A member of the Radical Party, he represented La Serena, Coquimbo and Elqui from 1909 until his death in 1916, serving during three consecutive legislative periods. He was a member of the Public Charity and Worship, Public Works, Public Assistance and Worship, and Public Instruction commissions.[1]
A physician by profession, he obtained his medical degree in 1894. He worked at the Hospital San Juan de Dios in La Serena and was also involved in local public health and educational initiatives. Before entering Congress, he served as mayor of La Serena in 1906 and 1907.
