Ictigaster is a genus of beetle of the family Scarabaeidae.[1] It is monotypic, being represented by the single species, Ictigaster ruficollis, which is found in Australia (South Australia).[2]
Description
[edit]Adults reach a length of about 17 mm (0.67 in). The head, pronotum, scutellum, ventral surface of thorax and pygidium are bright reddish brown. The scutellum is densely punctured at the sides, with a median unpunctured area.[3]
