temporary accounts

[edit]

This needs to talk to temporary accounts as well, even if to only say "you don't have preferences"

"Show Wikidata edits in your watchlist"

[edit]

I cannot turn off this option and now my watchliist is heavily littered with changes in wikidata. What shall I do? --Altenmann >talk 17:51, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

un-watching pages

[edit]

How do I opt out of this massive "are you sure you want to unwatch this page?" dialog???

Unwatching a page is not nearly the fatal permanent error you can make, so PLEASE let me out of having to confirm me pressing the blue star by then also having to watch this giant dialog fill my screen and me having to press unwatch AND close YET ANOTHER DIALOG without accidentally pressing "watch" (which appears EXACTLY where unwatch was previously).

If I hadn't known better I would say this is a dark pattern designed to retain customers by making it NEEDLESSLY hard to make trivial decisions.

MAKE THIS SCREEN OPT-OUT-ABLE NOW.

Unwatching a page should require NO MORE THAN A SINGLE CLICK, with no further interaction than just seeing the blue star turn back to white. If you want to re-watch, you can, you know, JUST DO THAT.

It's no longer working I think. I opened Wikipedia and a bunch of photos were bigger. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 01:59, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
