Now a high profile page

Now that the help:categories article is linked to from "Categories" it is impossible to find the list of article categories. I do hope they revert this decision. The result is hopeless. -- spin|control 03:14, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- @Doktorspin: I think it was Special:Categories? It is accessible thru the Special pages link to the left. I am curious to know what you use it for. - @Alan Liefting: Thanks for the pointer. Just hope I'll remember it next time. I have created a small but odd collection of pages and each page needs a good range of categories where possible in order for it to be representative of good Wiki style. I try to find relevant categories for articles I notice that are under-supported. The more relevant categories an article has, the more connected it is and the more easily locatable. There are sadly many Wiki features that are hard to find and now add to this the category list which has been made harder to find. -- spin|control 13:33, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Not done - the page Help:Categories is protected against vandalism, so the padlock symbol is correct. Removing the padlock symbol will not unprotect the page. If you think the page should be unprotected, post at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection#Current requests for reduction in protection level. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:56, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
