Gowrishankar SRG is an Indian actor, producer and writer who works in the Kannada film industry.[1] He is known for his performances in Jokaali, Rajahamsa and Kerebete.[2]
Career
[edit source]Gowrishankar began his career in the Kannada film industry as an assistant director before transitioning to acting.[3] He made his acting debut as Vedha in the Kannada film Jokaali.[4][5] In 2017, he played the lead role of Raj in Rajahamsa.[6] The film was described as a family entertainer featuring elements of romance, action, comedy and drama.[7] In 2024, Gowrishankar starred in Kerebete, directed by Rajguru B.[8] The film is based on the traditional Malnad folk sport of Kerebete, an annual fishing festival practised in parts of Karnataka.[9] In 2026, Gowrishankar was cast in Common Man, directed by Om Sai Prakash.[10]
