Giat (French pronunciation: [ʒja]; Occitan: Giac) is a commune in the Puy-de-Dôme department in Auvergne in central France.
Geography
[edit]The Chavanon (locally called la Ramade) flows southeastward through the south-western part of the commune.
Twin town
[edit]Giat is twinned with the village of Baschurch in Shropshire, England.
