Garakan (Persian: گركان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Garakan Rural District[3] in the Central District of Ashtian County, Markazi province, Iran.
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 799 in 245 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 692 people in 232 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 660 people in 221 households, the most populous in its rural district.[1]
