Fjsen.com (Chinese: 东南网), or Fjsen, also known as Fujian Southeast Network, serves as the official news site for Fujian, overseen by the Publicity Department of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and managed by the Fujian Daily Newspaper Group.[1] Previously referred to as Fujian Southeast News Network, established in October 2001, is sanctioned by the State Council Information Office as a province news website. On October 1, 2009, Fujian Southeast News Network and Fujian Daily News Network combined, resulting in the establishment of Fujian Southeast Network.[2]
History
[edit]Fujian Southeast News was founded in October 2001 by the Publicity Department of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the information office of the Fujian Provincial People's Government. In September 2009, Southeast News was handed to the Fujian Daily Newspaper Group, which assumed responsibility for its news operations.[3] Subsequently, in October, Fujian Daily News was elevated to Southeast News.[4]
