Fakai is a Local Government Area in Kebbi State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Mahuta.

It has an area of 2,247 km2 and a population of 121,212 at the 2006 census.

Climate

Fakai lies within the tropical savanna belt and experiences a rainy season from June to September. The dry season is long and hot, with significant temperature variations and low humidity during Harmattan.[3]
