Eric Edelstein (born April 23, 1977)[3] is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for playing the role of Bobby Mallison in Shameless, B.O.B. in the Monsters vs. Aliens television adaptation, Chad in Clarence, and Grizzly "Grizz" in We Bare Bears.

Career

Edelstein was born in Patuxent River, Maryland.[3] He first took up acting during his senior year at Gonzaga University, where he was studying broadcasting.[4] Around this time, he was working at a local radio station in Spokane.[4] Wanting to pursue acting seriously, he moved to Los Angeles.[4] His first role was as a corrections officer in an episode of Karen Sisco. Edelstein had a recurring role as Lawrence in the first season of Parks and Recreation in 2009.

In 2013, Edelstein voiced B.O.B. in the television adaptation of Monsters vs. Aliens, and that same year voiced Chad in the childrens show Clarence. From 2015 to 2019, he voiced Grizz in the series We Bare Bears, as well as its 2020 movie. He also had a supporting role in the 2015 horror film Green Room,[5] plays a paddock supervisor in Jurassic World,[6] and voiced the character Richard Brynn in the game Before Your Eyes.

When Edelstein appeared as Hank Williams in the series The Boroughs in 2026, he gained traction online when people mistook him for David Harbour.[7][8]

Personal life

Edelstein is married to actress Jess Rona.[9] He is 6ft 4in.[4]
