Emmanuel Ibru is a Nigerian businessman involved in the oil palm industry and football administration in Nigeria.[1][2][3]

Ibru is a son of industrialist Michael Ibru.[4]

Career

Ibru is the chairman of the Plantation Owners Forum of Nigeria (POFON) and chief executive officer of Aden River Estates.[1][5][6]

Ibru was a member of the Nigeria Football Association and was the proprietor of AS Racine Football Club.[2][7][8]

In 2010, Ibru was part of a group that acquired the former Julius Berger Football Club of Lagos and established Bridge F.C..[9]

In 2017, Ibru was grand patron of the Nigeria Deaf Football Association and provided financial support for the team's participation in the West Africa Deaf Football Union tournament in Bamako, Mali.[2]

By 2021, Ibru had managed the AS Racine Football Academy for 23 years. That year, he partnered with former Nigeria international Victor Agali to organise the Victor Agali/AS Racine U-17 Grassroots Football Scouting Tournament in Agbarha-Otor, Delta State.[10]

He served as president of the Nigerian–Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and advocated for the establishment of a direct air link between Nigeria and Brazil to promote trade between the two countries.[11]
