Emergosphaera is a genus of green algae, in the family Chlorococcaceae. It contains a single species, Emergosphaera superficialis, recorded only once from Kursk, Russia. The vegetative cells of Emergosphaera are neustonic in freshwater and the zoospores are planktonic.[1]
