Drienovo (Hungarian: Csábrágsomos) is a village and municipality in the Krupina District of the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 363 metres (1,191 ft)[2] and covers an area of 15.32 km2 (5.92 sq mi) (2025).[4]

History

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1256 (Drino) when it belonged to Čabraď Castle. After, in the order, it passed to families Bakócy (16th century), Erdődy, Pálffy, Krusics (Krupina’s Captains), Koháry and Coburg.
