I have disclosed this conflict on the Talk:George David Gopen article as well. I have attempted to write in an encyclopedic and neutral tone and welcome review and correction by uninvolved editors.

Added many secondary sources today!

Added a criticism section and found an article to place there. Stark 1996.

There is a substantive body of work discussing Reader Expectation Approach in peer-reviewed literature and I've been adding to it if someone wants to check out my progress. I'd love your feedback!
